| Breakfast Baked French Toast
3 eggs 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour 1/4 cup of sugar 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of allspice 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 cup of milk eight 1 inch slices of French Bread 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted

Beat eggs, add flour, sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt, baking powder and vanilla, mix until smooth. Beat in milk, pour into baking dish. Dip bread into mixture, turn over, cover, refrigerate overnight. Before baking turn slices over, melt butter, drizzle over top. Bake at 400ºF. for 10 minutes, turn bread, bake an additional 5 minutes until golden brown. To serve, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, maple syrup, honey, sour cream, jelly or preserves of your choice. Can be sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or topped with fruit. Serves 4
