| Country Beef Pie
Crust: 1/2 cup of tomato sauce 1/2 cup of bread crumbs 1/4 cup of chopped onion 1 1 2/ teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper 1/8 teaspoon of oregano 1 pound of ground beef
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pat mixture into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate. Filling: 1 1/3 cup of instant rice 1 cup of water 1 1/2 cup of tomato sauce 1 cup of grated cheese 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Combine rice, salt, sauce, water and 1/4 cup of cheese. Spoon into meat shell. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350ºF. for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle top with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered, for 15 minutes longer. 5 -6 servings |
