Salsa Cruda Dip

6 - 8 green tomatoes, peeled and quartered or 1 1/2 cups of canned tomatillos, drained
1 medium onion, cut into pieces
1/2 cup of diced green chilies
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced or to taste
1 teaspoon of salt
tortilla chips

Puree tomatoes in processor or blender. Add all remaining ingredients except chips and mix well. Transfer to serving bowl, cover and refrigerate. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes about 2 cups
