| Lemon Brussels Sprouts
1 quart of Brussels sprouts lemon juice salt and pepper 1/4 cup of melted butter
Remove the outer leaves from the Brussels sprouts, trim off the stems and any dark spots. Soak in salted water for 15 to 20 minutes. drain well. Put them in a deep pan, cover with 1/2 inch of boiling salted water, and add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice. Cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes or until just tender. Drain well. Season with salt and pepper. Mix the melted butter with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and pour over the sprouts. Serves 6
